Default OK, Just how does Loot Scaling Work?

I log in today and see that its a triple dye weekend.

I love dye.

I used to get most of my dye in pre-searing whiping out bandits. I have not had a pre-character in a long while and I just now made a new dye farmer excited for the weekend.

However I am getting nothing right now. I am not refering to DYE drops, I am referring to ANY drops. I have done about 12 runs now and every time I kill all 10 or so bandits and I so far have a record of 3 items dropped from the entire group, usually 2 or 3. What gives? I used to get Worn Belts galore, now I dont get anything.

My only conclusion is the wonderfull loot scaling, but even if this is what is doing it, shouldnt my drops be cut in half (2 party size in pre) not this much? It almost seems that the game thinks Pre-Searing has an 8 party limit....

Signed,
A Confused Dye Farming Hopeful

This is my theory.

There used to be a farming code - the one I'm referring to is the one where if you farmed an area too many times, the drop rate became worse.

Now, that farming code is no longer in effect. HOWEVER, what my observation is, areas that you had already lessened the drop rate in before the farming code lifting, will still stay that way...there was no resetting of the drop rates.

So basically, if you killed the drop rate for your character at a certain area before the ban lifting, that area is still going to have a low drop rate now. This is just a hypothesis by me...
